Auction & Bridges

This past week was a challenging one. Mika had been volunteering a lot of hours for the school auction, which culminated on Saturday night. To complicate matters, Ellie had a Portland Bridge project which required building an interpretation of one of Portland's bridges. Needless to say it required extensive amounts of parental support and of course it was due on the Friday before the school auction. Despite the pain and some sleep deprivation, both worked out fine in the end.

The auction went really well for the school, and we didn't do so bad either. Roger came away from the silent auction with a new set of Nike Golf Clubs. He is looking forward to having lots of spare time to play golf after the baby is born this June. ;-)

Nisa and Ellie are now in swimming class together on Saturdays. Both are doing great.

Now for some Maile stories...
Roger was gargling some salt water the other day and spit it out. Maile said, "What are you doing Daddy? Did you not like that Daddy?"

Maile: "I want to wear panties like Nisa."
Roger: "Panties are for big girls who sit on the potty."
Maile: "I sit on the potty."
Roger: "You just sit on the potty. You have to actually go potty."
Maile: "I toot."
Roger: "That's nice Maile."
