Pumpkin Patch

This Saturday we took the girls to the pumpkin patch and we all had a great time. Check out the photos on Flickr.

Earlier this week Nisa read her first book and was sooo excited. She wanted to read it over and over again. Maile also wanted to get into the action so she tried reading her “Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do you hear?” book. Every time she turned the page she would make a big "RARRRR!!!" with her deep voice. :-)

We have been making some progress with Maile and the potty. After taking a bath she walked up to the potty, squatted down to look at it, and pee’d on the floor right in front of it. :-)

In an unrelated story, Nisa wanted to know when we could get a dog. The answer was, “After Maile gets potty trained.”

Mika took Ellie shopping for Halloween costumes and they found the perfect Giselle costume from the movie “Enchanted”. It was marked down from $80 to only $60. Mika called Roger. Roger said no. Mika said, “OK, you know how these things can get emotional.” Roger then asked, “Are you talking about Ellie or me?” If any of you are interested you can get your own Giselle costume right here.

We’re now keeping track of interesting words that Maile learns before being able to say “Nisa”. If you missed it in one of our earlier blogs, she calls both Ellie and Nisa, “Ellie”. It is now official; Maile has learned to say the words “donut” and “McDonald’s” before learning to say her sister’s name “Nisa”. :-\

For some Ellie updates, one of Ellie’s new favorite activities is to blast her Vanessa Carlton CD and do her ballet on the hardwood floors. She still loves to dance. Also, last weekend Mika took Ellie to her first Brownie’s meeting.

That’s about is for now…
