This is our first blog on this new blogging site. We may have some hiccups over the first few blogs so bear with us... :-)

Last Monday Roger celebrated his 36th birthday. Hard to believe. Roger was working in his office that day when Ellie walked up to chat.
Ellie: Happy Birthday Daddy.
Roger: Thank you Ellie.
Ellie: Are they having a party for you at work?
Roger: No, I work from home now.
Ellie: Yeah but when are you going to get a real job?

Ellie lost another tooth this week. Here is Ellie's letter to the Tooth Fairy with Mirabella's responses:
Ellie: Can you leave me a picture?
Miraballa: Sorry, it's against fairy rules.
Ellie: Have you seen a deer?
Miraballa: Yes, I have seen them many times.
Ellie: Have you been to Enchanted Forest? (a local amusement park)
Ellie: Yes, my best friend Anella is a woodland fairy who lives there.

Doc, Gram, Dan, Michelle and Mia were all staying with us this weekend for the Mt Angel Oktoberfest festivities and Maile's baptism. Friday night was a big night where everyone stayed out past midnight and we didn't get back home until after 1am. Saturday we laid around the house recovering and preparing for Maile's baptism party. Maile did a great job at the baptism and held back on making any loud screams. After the baptism everyone came back to the house where Mika and Gram had put together quite a feast. We went back to the Oktoberfest later that day for the kids to play.

Nisa had a couple of Oktoberfest stories. Izzy was proudly telling Nisa that he was now the second tallest person is his family. Nisa quickly shot back, "Well you know Dan is the tallest person in our family because he is soooo tall and no one is even close to being as tall as Dan."

At the Oktoberfest they had the giant inflatable obstacle course. It was for kids, but it included some decent obstacles. Nisa really wanted to do it and she tore it up. There was this wall that the kids needed to climb, and other kids were having trouble getting over it. Nisa scaled the wall with no problem, accidentally stepping on one of the kids heads.

Maile continues to impress with her vocabulary skills. It feels that recently she has been picking up new words everyday.
