This week we celebrated Maile's 2nd birthday and it was quite an entertaining family event. To start, we have been trying to get Maile to hold up two fingers so she can tell people how old she is. Maile's response is to hold up one finger from each hand and put her hands together. :-)
Maile's present-opening skills have significantly advances since this past Christmas when she punched her baby doll from Santa in the face. Not only was Maile excited to open all of her presents, but she was inspired to speak some new words and string together some new sentences like, "I open presents," and "More chocolate ise cream, please!"
When Maile opened the dress from the GGs she held it up and wanted to put it on immediately. "Off jammies. Wear dreth!" she said. A couple of presents later she received a dress from Doc & Gram and wanted to wear that one. She insited on sleeping in that dress that night :-)
Finally, congrats to Mike & Amy on their second son, Nolan Scott McQuery, who was born today! :-)
