Crazy Weekend...

This weekend flew by. We had both Ellie's ballet recital and Nisa's gymnastics jubilee.

The fun started on Friday evening with the Forest Park Carnival. Ellie had a ballet dress rehearsal at the same time so Mika took Nisa to the carnival while Roger and Maile picked up Ellie from ballet. Then Saturday morning Ellie had another dress rehearsal, while Roger, Mika, Nisa and Maile did a children's hospital tour. The tour was targeted for kids under seven and at this point all of this new baby stuff is old hat for Ellie. ;-)

Then at noon Nisa had gymnastics practice while Maile and Roger stayed home and worked in the yard. After practice we had a babysitter come over to watch Nisa and Maile so that Roger and Mika could go to Ellie's ballet and also catch dinner at a great french bistro beforehand, which was great. :-)

We got home around 10pm and then were up early on Sunday to get Nisa to her gymnastics jubilee at 10:30am. Then Mika and Ellie had to leave early so she could do Ellie's makeup at home to get Ellie ready for her second performance. Annisa went with Grammie & Pat to Ellie's second performance, while Maile tagged along with Roger & Mika to go pick up their old glider rocking chair at Laura & Mike's new house and then attend Bradley Class. Aside from a poopy diaper, Maile did great at the Bradley Class just watching movies and coloring.

Then to finish off the weekend when we got home Ellie had her Portland Rose Festival project where she needed to build a mini parade float out of a shoebox. Fortunately Grammie was there to help get closure to this crazy weekend.
