Mother's Day & Camp Collins

We have had an adventurous two weeks up here in Portland.

Last weekend we spend Mother's Day in Seaside, which is less than 90 minutes away from Portland. We first had lunch at Mo's (http://www.moschowder.com), which is famous for their clam chowder. Then we went to the tide pools at Cannon Beach. The girls all had a great time and the weather was beautiful.

This weekend Roger took the three girls to Camp Collins for a weekend with his Rotary Club (http://www.campcollins.org/rotaryvillage.html). Ellie, Nisa and Maile all did wonderful and had lots of fun. They all helped out with the Rotary project of weeding around the Rotary Village Cabins and helping to plant new native plants. Then after the work project there was archery, climbing walls and nature walks to enjoy. Later that evening there was bingo, a campfire and smores. We also stayed with two other families with kids between 5 and 9 years old, so the girls made some new friends on the trip as well.
