We had Nisa's "Monsters vs Aliens" birthday party today, which went great. We had about 20 kids over for the event. The only tears we saw were from one kid who had to leave the party a bit early. :-)
The day before the party, Nisa asked Roger if he could play soccer downstairs. Roger said that we need to clean up, to which Nisa responded, "Did you know that cleaning is the opposite of playing?"
Here is the rundown for Nisa's party...
- Kids come in and go downstairs for running around and playing pin the eyeball on the monster. It was amazing how good the kids were at that game.
- Then upstairs for Monster Bingo. Without rigging it or anything, Nisa was the winner.
- Then brownie cake, ice cream and rice crispy treats that looked like BOB the Blob.
- Finally, Monsters vs Aliens on Blu-Ray. It was awesome!
For Halloween Ellie dressed up as Hermione from Harry Potter, Nisa was Jessie the yodeling cowgirl from Toy Story 2, and Maile was Tinkerbell. Maile LOVES Tinkerbell.
We have been riding a three day sugar rush with the Halloween school parties on Friday, Halloween on Saturday and then Nisa's birthday today. Time to buckle down and get ready for another week at school.
